CommViewer - Displays Serial Communications

What problem does it solve? Customers get frustrated when they can’t get their PC to receive data that your equipment is sending. They mistakenly conclude that your equipment is faulty, when the problem really lies in their PC. How do you convince them that your equipment is ok?
What does it do? Receives serial port (RS232) data and displays it on the LCD screen.
How does this benefit me? Convince customers that your equipment is operating properly. Even when their computer can’t see the data, CommViewer will receive and display it. Customers then understand it’s their computer that need examining.
Is it easy to use? There’s only an on/off switch. There are no extra settings for the customer to get confused with.
How would I use it? To respond to a complaint that the serial port doesn’t work, just send CommViewer to the customer. They’ll hook up CommViewer to your equipment, turn CommViewer on, and have your equipment start transmitting data. When they see the data, they’ll know your equipment is working fine.
Any added benefits? Your technical support group won’t have to keep abreast of how to handle serial communications on every new release of Windows, the Mac, or Linux. No more 9600,N,8,1 settings, finding which COM port is active or what cable to use. Also, no more needing to capture text or find a null modem cable. It’s all built in!
