Customer Module

Scanning is done with a handheld barcode scanner attached to the PreScan customer module. This module remembers and displays all scanned barcodes. The unit will prompt for scanning. It can also be locked to prevent accidental scans by the next customer.

Cashier Module

The cashier controls when the stored barcodes are sent to the POS. Only when the "Get Barcodes" button is pressed are the barcodes sent. The POS cannot distinguish PreScan barcodes from those sent by an attached barcode scanner. This means easy install and removal, since neither the POS server nor software are ever modified.
